What does the IHSS PA Advisory Committee do?

If you are a current or a former IHSS consumer living in Tehama County, please consider applying to join our Advisory Committee. Our Advisory Committee is mandated to make recommendations to improve the IHSS program and Public Authority services. What does the committee do?

  • The committee’s mission is to serve as advisors to improve the IHSS system for consumers and providers by being an on-going conduit of information and advocacy to the Board of Supervisors and the entire community.

  • The committee is a citizen body comprised of six voting members who are appointed by the Board of Supervisors.

  • The committee meets on the odd months on the third Thursday of the month from 9:00-10:30 at the Red Bluff Community Center, located at 1500 S. Jackson St, Red Bluff CA 96080. (Location subject to change).

The committee is made of three current or former IHSS consumers, an advocate (representing seniors and the disability community), an IHSS homecare worker/provider and one County representative.
